Harry Westervelt and Gail Young–Leach are Country Line Dance Instructors, affectionately known as “The Silver Spurrs.”

Gail’s introduction to country dance began in 1998 with classes by instructors Wanda and Jim York and at local New Jersey country dance clubs. She currently attends bi-annual country dance instruction weekends in New York as well as local dance events for ongoing professional instruction.

Harry has been country line dancing since 1989, with professional country dance training. We continue our dance instruction with Wanda and Jim York of Somerset, and Dan Albro at the Mishnock & Friends Dance Weekend events to upgrade our skills as professional instructors.

One of our pet projects concerns preservation of our Wolf population in New Mexico, Montana and Wyoming, there are links in this web site where you can obtain information about our beloved Wolves.  Another on going project of ours is the plains animals and in particular the native Bison herds which are starting to increase in population.  There is extensive material to read in any of the American Prairie Foundation links.
